Looking for garden renovation ideas?

Luxury,Jacuzzi,Outdoor,On,The,Roof.

What does your ideal outdoor space look like? Is it somewhere you can entertain, a fun haven for the kids to play in, or maybe a place to relax on warm summer days? Before you embark on a project to renovate your garden, consider what you want to get out of the space, and how you can use its size and shape to your advantage. Aside from your patio, plants, boundary walls and fences, what else do you want to include?

If your perfect space includes a hot tub, then read on for inspiration and ideas.

How to pick a hot tub for your garden

Before you start looking for your ideal hot tub, think about how much you want to spend, where you’re going to put it, and if you want to be able to use it all year round. There are two types of the hot tub to choose from – an inflatable spa and a hard-shelled alternative.

Inflatable hot tubs

Inflatable hot tubs are a budget-friendly option if you haven’t got the money to spend on a hard-shelled alternative. What makes these hot tubs so popular is their portability. You can stow it away when you’re not using it in winter or move it around the garden to free up space when you need it.

Hard-shelled hot tubs

Hard-shelled hot tubs are permeant fixtures that need a solid, level platform. They sit on a hard base and have hard side panels, and they work on an internal heating system. This type of spa usually has more features and is insulated for year-round use.

In truth though, it’s not quite as simple as that, because there are portable hot tubs that aren’t inflatable, and small hard-shelled tubs designed to fit in a tight space. In fact, you might say there’s a hot tub to suit every style of living.

Our three favourite garden hot tubs

To help you narrow down your search for a hot tub, we’ve picked three of our favourites.

  1. The Wetherby – four-person hot tub

The Wetherby is a small but perfectly formed hot tub with four-built-in seats. At just 80cm (height) x 180cm (width) x 180cm (length), this compact hot tub has all the luxuries of a full-sized spa but is small enough to fit in most gardens. It has an attractive composite wood cabinet surround, 16 stainless steel hydro jets, and multicoloured LED lights to create a relaxing atmosphere – perfect at the end of a long day.

  1. Softub portico – five to six people

The Softub is made from an innovative foam material that is durable and lightweight, so it can be moved easily. Its weather-proof ‘Leathertex’ surround can be made in a colour of your choice, and it comes with a range of optional extras, from steps to headrests, and booster seats. However, what really sets this hot tub apart from other spas on the market is its powerful Poseidon jet system with four settings and a whirlpool nozzle.

  1. Premium Line A6L – three to five people

This hot tub from Villeroy & Boch includes their patented JetPak system – a removable massage unit. The premium line A6L comes with four JetPaks that can be combined with different seat depths to suit your individual wellness needs. Made from acrylic in a choice of six different colours, this luxury spa is one of our most indulgent products.

Hot tub gazebos for your garden

No garden renovation would be complete without an outdoor structure, perfectly formed to suit the size and shape you have available. With the rising popularity of hot tubs, it’s no surprise that more people are looking for gazebos to shelter their spa, and there is no shortage of options available on the market for those who want a hot tub canopy

Our range of garden buildings makes the perfect private hideaway for your hot tub. All our gazebos are designed and built by the finest craftsmen in the heart of Yorkshire using responsibly sourced timber (FSC certified). The attention to detail that goes into making every structure is what sets apart our outdoor buildings from any other.

The Stillington is a hexagonal gazebo made from Western Red Cedar. This top-selling gazebo is perfect for sheltering your hot tub so it can be used all year round, and you can opt to have it made with tongue and groove panels for added privacy. In fact, The Stillington can be made to your exact requirements – you can choose to add:

  • heaters
  • skylights
  • solid wall infill for privacy
  • your choice of roof finish
  • posing tables
  • bar stools
  • weatherproof fabric blinds
  • a choice of seat cushions

Our gazebos are ideal for creating a ‘zone’ in your garden that’s dedicated to your hot tub, but they can also be used for dining, entertaining, or just relaxing.

If you want to try something new, why not consider installing a sauna in your outdoor space. The Oslo Sauna is built in our workshop in York using the finest materials and comes with the renowned Harvia Sauna heater as standard. It’s made to fit two to six people comfortably and can be personalised with your choice of lights and music.
